“Karen Green from Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary received some great feedback from some US customers who took a ‘rain check’ recently.
Hi there,
I wanted to send a thank you after a recent reservation of mine was canceled due to inclement weather. On 24 December (Christmas Eve) I was booked in with five additional family members out in Australia for the first time from Chicago, to do the evening Wildlife Adventure. It had been raining for a few days leading up to the 24 and we arrived at the scheduled time to begin our adventure and start with the dinner buffet. After dinner, the rains got worse and a decision was made by your CEO to cancel the evening. Whilst we were disappointed and could not come back as we were departing the Gold Coast on the 26, your team made every effort to ensure that our experience there was a maximum one. We were constantly kept informed and were told that animals would be brought indoors (Baby Croc, snake, koala and owl) and photos could be taken. Not only were photos taken but they were presented to us free of charge. We were then told we could obtain a refund for the tour portion of the evening. We were actually provided with a refund of the entire reservation amount. I wanted to send this to say thank you for the way the Currumbin team went above and beyond the call of duty. We still managed to have a wonderful experience on the evening. A very professional and caring team and I commend you and hope that you receive many Tourism awards in the future. I look forward to coming back one day and experiencing the bits I missed out on.
Again, thank you,
Regards, Ev”
