The Brogla Tourism Awards, Northern Territory’s official tourism awards program, held its 25th annual ceremony on Saturday. As the event’s theme of Celebrating Tourism Excellence suggests, the Broglas recognised businesses that strive for and achieve the highest standards in the industry.
Fish Darwin, a first time entrant, was recognised for this level of excellence and earned the Adventure Tourism award! Fish Darwin is a local business, owned and operated by a Darwin couple. These two, as well as their qualified and friendly crew, have extensive experience in the tourism industry and with fishing in Top End waters.
By applying their relevant knowledge and passions and by being customer-focused, the Fish Darwin team has successfully developed several fishing adventure products that have become very popular.
These include impressive fishing charter cruises departing Darwin Harbour for half day, full day and sunset and night tours, all of which include a meal and snacks. Guided by an experienced crew, theses charters visit fishing hotpots with a multitude of tropical reefs, shoals, islands and historic wrecks. In these spots, customers have the opportunity to catch Black jewfish, Golden snapper, Spanish mackerel, Queenfish, Long tail tuna, Spanish flag, Javelin fish, Giant trevally, Blue boned tusk fish and more!
Fish Darwin is dedicated to providing tourists and locals alike with accessible and memorable fishing adventures. We are pleased these efforts have been recognised. Congratulations, Fish Darwin, for winning the Adventure Tourism award!
